The Letter "D"

MY LETTER, "D", to play this game, was given to me
by Natalie/ Musings from the deep.

xIf you want to play, please leave me a comment and I'll send you a letter. Then you can list ten things that matter to you. And play!

xWell, "D" indeed! Is that a judgement, a grade, before I even begin? You must have secret knowledge that I can't count. Putting that aside, here comes my first "D", which I will DESIGNATE #1. And then, we'll see.

DANCE- I will DANCE for food. In a DIAPHANOUS gown, in a DOWNPOUR.

DESIRE- There goes that Streetcar again, and from Will Shakespeare:

" Is it not strange that DESIRE should so many years outlive performance" ?x

DREAM- Perchance to....ay, there's the rub. For in that sleep of

DEATH, what DREAMS may come../ Hamlet

xOh well, sorry, DEATH itself, but perhaps more easily, in "webdings".. cowards die many times before theirs DEATH ?...Shakespeare.x

DEEDS- ..."and yet words are not deeds".....Guess who?

x

DICKINSON- I hide myself within my flower,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxThat wearing on your breast,

xxxxxxxxxxxxxYou unsuspecting, wear me too-

xxxxxxxxxxxxxAnd angels know the rest.

x

xDOSTOEVSKY-XXXXXIf you were to destroy the belief of immortality in mankind, not only love, but every living force on which the continuation of all life in the world depended, would dry up all at once.

X

xDYLAN- You better start swimming

xxxxxxxxxor sink like a stone,

xxxxxxxxxcause the times they are a-changing.

x

Hi Lyn,

I enjoyed your D list and I would certainly give you an 'A'! I also loved your Peaches post and your silent poetry, which I've been catching up on. Thanks.

Good Job, Lyn! When you want to do a link, highlight the bit you want to link, and there is an icon on the top bar where you do your posts. When you press it, it will ask you for a url and you put your cursor there and write in the persons address. Not the blog title. Hope this helps, don't publish it if you don't want to. I only learnt yesterday myself!!xx

Hi Natalie-
Thank you for sharing this with me- so interesting!
Now, I know that I'll have to read your very lucid instructions a dozen times, cause that's how I am. I will try!

Bravo Lyn--loved the Dosto bit! Dostoevsky is one of my heroes. Excellent post--I would love to play, but my spelling is terrible.

Lyn, I just noticed your videoclips for Edith Piaf. Did I ask you if you've seen the movie, "La Vie En Rose"? I really enjoyed it - the creative expression - the passion!
I also enjoyed "Sylvia" with Gwyneth Paltrow. Have you seen that?
