MINIMALISM
Looking for the new,
perhaps I could acquaint myself
with a blue sun,
a different law of karma,
isolate myself from the path,
float above the road,
lead a minimalist life.
There is a futility to wandering.
I blink at the impermanence
of an unmarked room,
the couch holding a lonely ghost
from the night before.
I dream of the silkiness
of an easy awakening,
no longer running from the cold,
going back to Alpha,
waiting for the morning breeze.

A different law of karma--that's what we all seek. Very good.
Lyn,
Always looking on the bright side...
No wonder you're successful!

Hi Tess-
I know you can't...and I'm grateful for that!! Thanks..
Lyn, "going back to Alpha, waiting for the morning breeze" These words are rare and beautiful...rich!
Hi Blue Sky...
Always so generous..thank you!
I like the idea of the "...silkiness
of an easy awakening..."
Lovely Magpie ... minimal is difficult to pull off, takes talent (which you have.)
Hi Martin-
I sort of liked the "feel" of that, too, thanks so much!
Hi Helen-
A good complement indeed, coming from you! Thanks...

Nice images!

Peace and magic, who could ask for more? Thanks...
This is beautiful, Lyn... I especially like:
the couch holding a lonely ghost
from the night before
"I dream of the silkiness
of an easy awakening" Me too!

Hi Dave-
Thanks so much, Dave..this was an interesting challenge...I like the pared down life..but...
You drew me right in with the blue sun, and I loved the entire poem! Every time I think I can minimalist, I end up with clutter! I guess I'm not wired that way!
Hi Lolamouse-
Thank you... Minimalism is just a theory for me too!!
Ah - just lovely! Thank you!
Anna :o]
Hi Anna-
Thank YOU for being so kind!!
Sorry it took a while for me to get here! I am glad to visit.
I would like another angle on karma too- would a minimalist life, perhaps
include a more vivid and immediate awareness of karma ? thanks for visiting!
Hi izzy-
Thanks for stopping by. I believe that the more we peel away, the clearer the karmic path becomes..till, last stop, nirvana!!
last stanza is just great
