John William Waterhouse/ 1909/ Gather Ye Rosebuds...
VARIOUS POETS breaking reality to us...but thank life anyway, for being...
Odes of Horace:
Carpe diem quam minimum credula postero.../ Seize the day and put no trust in the future.
THOMAS JORDAN/ 1637/ Let Us Drink and be Merry...
Let's eat, drink and play
till the worms do corrupt us....
ROBERT HERRICK/ To The Virgins, To Make Much of Time...
Gather ye rosebuds while ye may,
Old time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles today,
tomorrow will be dying....
WILLIAM SHAKESPEARE/ Twelfth Night...
Present mirth hath present laughter;
what's to come is still unsure...
Kick up your heels and dance anyway...getting my tutu back!!

Hi Derrick-
Just a touch of reality... definitely, have a good day!!
Carpe diem is my adopted motto for life. It is so true, and so profound. Life is such a blessed thing, we should live it to the full whilst we can. I thank you Lyn for sharing these musings of wonderful poets, I especially liked,
"Let's eat, drink and play
till the worms do corrupt us...."
Hi Sam-
A very good motto to live by..if not now, when? I think you've got it!!
