Bad Hair Day.

THERE ARE DAYS WHEN THE
MIRROR SHATTERS
when you look into it. That's because
you're having a bad hair day!
That shiny, swingy mop of yesterday,
is but a memory today. That suave bob
has collected into a ball of Brillo.
No amount of ironing or blow drying will help.
Give in...return to the eighties! To BIG HAIR!
You know you want to, nothing was ever
more fabulous than Big Hair. It was indestructible.
And always alluring.

It's fun to get together with your pals, plan a day around doing each other's hair. As you can see, even the wind can't spoil the style!

Trust me when I say that you can go from this parched frizz, to the smooth glow of Carrie's locks, (see below). Now grab a brush, turn your head upside down, and tease away!!

Carrie says that it is very easy to achieve this beguiling style..she never uses a hairdresser! Standing in a brisk breeze, back comb your hair, grab an extra strong
hair spray, and these luscious curls should fall into place.

Cher knows. On those days when she too can't
do a thing with her hair, she cheats a bit! And is
telling you the truth now! She has a few wigs that
she uses in a pinch. How else could she display
those blond, red, black tresses? Bet she had you
fooled that this was her natural Big Hair!

Adorable Drew has an imaginary cartoon friend
that she takes with her everywhere. Can you see her?
She also has imaginary blond hair, with the dark
roots painted in. Some days she switches, but she
always teases. She's proud to say that her hair
never moves! Are you ready for the runway? You and your friends
can have careers as runway models, if the '80's ever
come back.

Hi Lyn,

That's quite a bit of a scroll - my hair's all over the place!! Actually it's the beard I have to watch. Can turn into the wild man o' the woods in an instant!

Hi Derrick-
Scroll alert..sorry..no control over anything!! Hair included!
You as a wild man..hmm, well we all have our moments!

Wow, did this bring back memories with all the teasing and backcombing and the hair spray!

I was involved backstage in a Cher performance in Atlanta many years ago and she had TRUNKS and TRUNKS just for her wigs!

Here we go again. I think the system did not process my comment the first time around so here I am leaving it again.

'Carrie says that it is very easy to achieve this beguiling style..she never uses a hairdresser! Standing in a brisk breeze, back comb your hair, grab an extra strong
hair spray, and these luscious curls should fall into place'

And then you get splashed by a passing bus with your image on it. Nice.

Re the scroll. Go back to the post and edit it. You should have two boxes, one with 'compose', choose the other one, 'html'. At the end of your post you will find a lot of 'Ps' between brackets. Get rid of them. You should only have one. That should do the trick.

Many thanks for the post and the scroll, I needed it after my lunch.

Greetings from London.

Want to know what happens when I stand in the wind and backcomb? The wild cavewoman look. Slightly more savage looking than bedhead. I could never have big hair...it's too fine. I tried once. Guess when. : )

Hi Gaston-
Yes memories..that's cool about Cher..I was affiliated with a club here in the '80's..Fab act, lip syncing..wanted me to "be" Cher..couldn't 'cause they wanted me also to do a Can-Can and do a split!!No way! Watta life!!

Hi Jane-
Sorry about the "anonymous" heading..

Greetings to A Cuban-
You are very funny! And thanks so much for the instructions..I will try to remedy the problem, although today electronic mischief seems to be afoot! Again thank's for your help!

Hi Starlene-
I think the wind inflates the"do".
I'm running right outside to fix my hair today..will report back..or as A Cuban said, I'll probably get splashed by a bus...thank you!!

Hi Cuban-
Tried the "P" solution..not a P in sight..not today, anyway..told you so!! Me, the princess and the "P"..Thanks...

I have had some fabulous hair dreams lately. I'm radiant. When I wake up, it is always the same thin hair and the pony tail.

Lyn said...

Hi Butternut-
Hair dreams, huh? Your pony tail sound OK to me..because when I was a kid I was a frizz bomb. Now with all the "stuff", I'm half way decent!

I used to do the "big hair" (flip your head, brush down, flip back - voila!) Oh and don't forget the teasing and the backcombing and the French Formula hairspray!

Hi Kat-
I'm possessed by the 80's..I just
followed your style..flip, tease, toss..I'm still laughing....hmmm...

As a former hairdresser, I loved this one. I cut my own shoulder length locks into a pixie just last Saturday and the jury is still out. Lots easier to style, though!

Lyn said...

Hi Deedee-
As an "old" makeup artist, I was asked many times to neaten up a "do". I too cut my own hair..little snippets here and there..I'm sure your pixie looks terrific!
