To Life!

BELIEVING/ NOT

They say that as soon
as you get that you are a dream,
a Maya,
you will be thankful to disappear
from life itself.
So the Masters say.

I've got some words I still want to write.
I need the world to see me
a moment more.

I fear losing this form
and
Poof,
disappearing into the cosmos,
no edges, I am you, you are me.

So I screech to a stop
because I'm just not sure
that infinity is as much fun
as being here.

Most of the time
I like that the play's the thing.
I may want to romance life
once again.
Bouquets of pink roses,
more, please!
Am I forgetting that they come with thorns?

And mother's milk,
for all the sweetness I missed
the last time I cried.

I'm almost dust now.
I don't know.
Do I want quantum, cosmic dancing
just yet?

There's been much discussion on this topic, since the passing of my mother in law in March. I don't want to embrace the cosmic dancing just yet.

Certainly not, Lyn! We want to keep reading what you want to keep writing.

This is so powerful Lyn! Live in the moment and enjoy the breeze on your face...as you dance...until you are no longer to dance...

Your post touched a place deep inside me .... Three years ago today my mother passed away as in my arms. It was a gentle, peaceful and lovely passing. I had cared for her during the last five years of her life .... I miss her horribly but I'm not quite ready to join her. Thank you for writing this .....

Okay, agreed, let's all just stay here for awhile longer...write, paint, cook and dance just for now. I was in the care of hospice 2 years ago and changed my mind...lucky me. Your words sing to my heart a thousand ways!

Lyn: I love your poetry! So reminds me of ee cummings, one of my faves.

I know I will someday return to the ashes from whence I came, but for now I'd like to relish in the living, while I still can...

Lyn said...
