Timing

Waking up is worthy of note.
Seeing rococo hands
pointing to six twenty five,
even in the darkness
of Eastern Standard,
makes me wonder
x
how my body knows
to open my eyes
at the same time each morning,
x
when my deliberate mind
finds it tricky to keep
a planned rendezvous.

Hi Lyn,

Your subconscious mind obviously is raring to go at the start of the day but, once there, it likes to prolong the anticipation!

Same here. So beautifully put. I love the rococo hands and the Eastern Time motif. Many thanks.

The inner clock. Our body clock seems to mirror time's keeper. It's a mystery how such is so.

VERY nice. I've often wondered how our mind knows to wake when it needs to!

It is a fascinating thing - our personal chronos. Mine is often out of whack these days - awake OR asleep.

I love that image.
