MAGPIE...Prompt #133

                                        SUMMER NIGHT/ 1913/ Albert Bloch

THANK YOU, Tess, for Magpie Tales....

BLUE MOON

Come closer, this
is the place of chance,
where once in a blue moon,
you can stumble past betrayal,
and call out a spell,

"belew, belew",
ancient chant,
duplicity, be gone.

Clouds of indgo ash,
a sky dimmed by stain.

Stay by my side, gaze,
see light tossed anew,
hope for the sun to rise
in seventh heaven.

Hi Brian-

Really lovely and so in sync with the images. I especially like the idea of the sky dimmed by stain.

I could actually "hear" these figures saying that word "belew", and sense the flirtatious coaxing to stay with them forever!

Your words paint a lovely scene to behold!

Besides the ethereal qualities of the painting, you picked up on the archaic feeling of the figures and I love that you channeled your words through the mystic nuances of ancient
times. Our 'blue moon' uneasiness is definitely connected to the spiritual naivety of the people who lived during middle ages. Awesome Lyn! Thank you for sharing.

magical indeed...thanks for this Lyn

Ah your Blue Moon is vey different to mine. I like the way you've chosen the old chant and made us think of medieval mystery mingled with the indigo ash of a different bue moon.
