THANK YOU, Tess, at Magpie Tales...
LESSONS
I held close a towel,
tousled my hair,
let traces of love
drift like sap
down the drain.
You whispered
a bit of a Sonnet
that came to mind,
"Thou art now
the world's fresh ornament"...
Your fingers strummed my spine,
setting a place on my back.
I'll just pretend
I slept the night through,
not let a trickle of sweat
shine my brow,
as I teach the morning's lesson.

Ah, right off we can slip within her being. Quite refreshing and romantic, yet clearly her classmates were far from her thoughts this day.
As a teacher, I well, relate to this!!
