MAGPIE...Prompt #120

                                                          Image/ Klaus Enrique Gerdes

MANY THANKS to Tess...at...Magpie Tales.

PLENTY

I am the I am,
a plentiful god
whose blood may flow
in the vein of a peach.
A green apple
splits within me,
beats like the heart of Eve.

I'm on the bee's journey,
adrift on air,
gathering honey
to drip from my lips.

Spit out the stone
that plants itself
within you
like an evil eye,
know yourself
to be a bouquet of spirit.
Do you want to be me?
You are.

But don't fruit stones and pips bring forth new life when they fall on fertile ground? Don't see much evil about that...

I love the idea of plenty and I love the ending. I see metaphor here.

Thanks for taking me across the abyss , Lyn, coincidentally , i was just musing on Jinksys blog before i came here about the garden of eden myth, which is perhaps where this image has jts roots, so thanks very much , from a fallen man .

Hi dori-
Always more than generous..thank you so much!!

Lyn said...

Hi Judy-
Sometimes I think action is metaphor...thanks for "plenty"!!

Hi Kutamun-
The "fallen" do most of the creative work...on the way down, or on the way back up..thanks for the insight. And "coincidence"? what's that?

It DOES have a cornucopia kind of feel to it, doesn't it? Naturally, you have crafted the skilfull and beautiful out of something almost grotesque. I expect nothing less of you, Lyn.
