RETURN....

Where are her footsteps?
She just glides over and shrieks
whenever it snows.

Hi Helen-
Same to you!!

Maybe she's a ghost that glides and shrieks over the snow or is there something else supernatural happening here.

Hi Windsmoke-
Nope, that's about it! But sometimes she tells jokes!!!

Lyn said...

Hi Tumblewords-
Thanks for visiting, and the comment!

Lyn said...

Hi madamebutterfly-
Thanks, but I never have to worry about that...woooo!!

Lyn said...

Hi Gabriela-
I sure wish that summer was coming around for me too, but soon enough, as time flies! Thanks...

I love the unstated here--who is SHE? The wind, the season, a ghost, an unwanted visitor, even herself? It would be totally different with even one more word--as it is, perfection.

Very nice! I love snow without footprints in it, and stormy weather.

Funny I can relate to the shrieking part. I love your blog.

Oh Hah! I know that person- I used to work with her and she paniced over a single snow flake!
Great post!

Lyn said...

Wonderfully descriptive and powerful! Love it!

haha - no cold feet for this gal! Fun haiku, it could express something different each time your read it.

Words A Day said...

Very mysterious!

So many reasons why her footsteps may not be there and so many possible "she's" spring to mind!

I like to think its someone who slides through the snow like a child rather than making such a grown up thing as footsteps!

Lyn said...

Hi Raph-
So pleased that you enjoyed this..thank you!!

Lyn said...

Hi Jennifer-
Thank you...that's very interesting, and I'm glad it does change!!

Lyn said...

Hi Words a Day-
Indeed, who is "she"? Like the way you see it!!

Your blog is like a sensual & artistic puzzle!! Thanx for comment & for being there in my Wabi & Sabi world !!!

And don't forget this.....

Never worry about the size of your Christian tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.....

Hi Agneta-
What nice things you say!!
You're so right about children..they all have the true spirit..would that they could hold on to it forever!!

Lyn said...

Hi Pauline-
Thanks for your kind words!!

Short poems always make you think what is the big message in the lonely three lines. Liked it! Relates to my winter mood!

Lyn said...

Hi scentofmyheart-
Thank you..I find that 3 lines contain more than some long running poems..part of the fun!
