MAGPIE...Prompt #156

                                                   WIND OF HISTORY/ Jacek Yerka

THANK YOU, Tess, for inspiration, at Magpie Tales.

SYMMETRY

I ran away from symmetry,
the impression of perfection.
I never cared for bits
and pieces
to line up perfectly.

Before I saw you,
my breath was too tranquil.
I slept in my ennui.

Morning surprised me.
Out the door and hell bent.

You baptized me with that name,
blushed my face.
I countered with tall stories,
reddened the rainbow.

You swallowed thunder,
slammed doors,
rearranged scraps,
deepend ruts,
turned the earth.

Our hard breathing
suddenly flowered.
Roses, a lotus,
cherry blossoms,
settled in my folds.
Now that's more like it.

  2. I was going to tell you what I liked best but then I couldn't, any more than a mother can point at a favorite child.

  14. Wow, so what am I getting here? It's... nature, god? An inability to stay dormant and in doing so, a reckless drive for chaotic production and creativity? Like...life just bursts out, no matter how passive it seems -- in it's dormant state?
I love it, whatever it means!
