A HEAD

On the silver screen
or other settings,
Yul Brynner,
you shaved your head
when other heroes
flowing curls
swept across
enraptured breasts.

Wish I could rub
some balm
corner to corner
on your burnished dome.

Even when you tipped
your Stetson
as the number one
Magnificent Seven,

no mane presented itself
to blow in the wind.
A head of your time.
